The latest GreenPoint open reference design from ON Semiconductor for LCD TV power supplies combines the main system power with the backlight inverter. The 180-W High-Voltage LCD Integrated Power Supply (HV-LIPS) was introduced at the Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC) in Washington, D.C.
By using an architecture in which the inverter is directly powered from the 400-V PFC rail, the reference design eliminates a complete power-conversion stage, which improves overall system efficiency, simplifies the design, and reduces the bill of materials. As such, the design meets the need for higher efficiency for active and standby power imposed by the Energy Star 3.0 TV standard that took effect last November.
The design also meets IEC 61000-3-2 harmonic content requirements and exceeds global standby requirements, with a typical standby consumption of 400 mW with a 50-mW load. ON Semiconductor was able to leverage a proprietary variable frequency control architecture to achieve up to 60-W output capability from the flyback stage while meeting these standby requirements.
The design was completed in conjunction with Microsemi Corp. and includes that company’s latest CCFL backlight inverter and JIN Current Balancer technology for CCFL. ON Semiconductor has created a complete documentation package for the HV-LIPS LCD TV reference design, including description, schematics, bill of materials, Gerber files, and evaluation guidelines.
The factory is equipped Through Hole Technology (THT) and DHP production lines to produce computer monitors' printed circuit cards. It is also equipped with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Dual Inline Packaging (DIP) production lines that are used to assemble multi-layer surface mount boards
we produce LCD TV CKD, SKD for known brands in our factory, we would like to have our product, We produce TFT LCD sizes between 32-42" Thank you very much we are looking for design refrence or design kit for tft lcd tv Best regards
