ARM Processor Teams With StackableUSB

Embedded Systems Conference, San Jose, CA. - Said to be a first, the RCB1626 enlists an ARM core to create a controller on the 104 form factor with seven USB ports; five through a StackableUSB connector and two separate client USB ports. The board has dual network processing engines to drive the 10/100 Base-T Ethernet, allowing users to offload networking tasks from a server such as Ethernet filtering. Other features include 24 digital I/O lines, eight readable DIP switches, eight LEDs, four RS-232 serial ports, 128 MB of SDRAM, and a 64-MB resident flash array. Price starts at $450 each.
