The 100-W dc-dc converter modules in the TEP-100 series from Tracopower target industrial applications where printed-circuit board (PCB) mounting isn’t an option. These isolated, high-performance devices come in a metal enclosure with four M3 inserts so they can be attached to a chassis or heatsink (see the figure). An optional chassis mount adapter with screw terminals greatly simplifies installation.
The 12 models in the series offer input ranges from 18 to 36 V dc or 36 to 75 V dc. Output voltages range from 5 to 48 V dc. Each module provides 2250-V dc I/O isolation, a –40°C to 105°C operating temperature range, full load capability up to 60°C, voltage trim function, and remote sense function.
Also, the modules offer overvoltage and overtemperature protection as well as undervoltage lockout and a remote on/off function. Combined with their wide input range, their reverse input protection suit them for battery-operated systems. They also are available with an ultra-wide 9- to 36-V dc or 18- to 75-V dc input voltage range (TEP-75 series) with a reduced output power of 75 W.
Pricing for the TEP-100 modules starts at $95.50 for 250 pieces with delivers from stock to six weeks.
