FPGA Module Sports Virtex-5

Opal Kelly’s XEM 5010 module brings the power of Xilinx’s Virtex-5 FGPA to developers. This USB-based module offers 256 Mbytes of DDR2, 4.5 Mbytes of SSRAM, 32 Mbytes of serial flash, and up to 200 high-speed user I/Os via a pair of Samtec QSE-060 conectors. The USB 2.0 interface is for programming and debugging using Opal Kelly’s FrontPanel software. It works with Xilinx’s toolset, including the free WebPack. It also supports a range of tools such as Matlab and LabVIEW. Pricing starts at $1499.95.
