The MAX-LS, a schematic-driven IC layout editor, includes interactive layout generators, a real-time design rule checker, and schematic and layout cross probing. Programmable and flexible, it also features technology that seamlessly works with all popular IC design point tools, while running on both the Solaris and Linux platforms.
Its manufacturer says that it automatically and dramatically speeds design iterations, thereby letting designers focus on the unique elements of their IC designs. At the same time, designers can maintain total, real-time control of the system-on-a-chip (SoC) physical creation process. The MAX-LS, priced at $50,000 per user, is now shipping.
