Freescale Semiconductor has licensed and deployed CEVA Inc.’s latest generation Enterprise SATA Intellectual Property (IP) within its product line, including Freescale’s MPC8315E PowerQUICC II Pro Communications Processor family. CEVA’s advanced Enterprise SATA solution with Native Command Queuing (NCQ) acceleration substantially reduces software overhead in Freescale’s communications processors and delivers the high-performance levels required for high-bandwidth small-office, home-office (SOHO) applications.
The MPC8315E communications processor family enables a wide range of feature-rich applications that make the digital home experience easier, richer, and safer. The cost-effective MPC8315E processor meets the requirements of several SOHO applications including consumer network attached storage (NAS), digital media server, residential gateway, WLAN access point, printing, and industrial control.
