As per the company, the CoreModule 730 represents the biggest architectural innovation in small form factor rugged SBCs since the PC/104 bus and, via ultra low power Intel Atom 1.1-GHz Z510 and 1.6-GHz Z530 processors, sets a new efficiency standard by using the SUMIT expansion interface. It packs a range of connectivity including multiple PCI Express lanes, USB 2.0 interfaces, LPC bus, I2C bus, and a SPI bus into a fraction of the space previously occupied by only the 33 MHz parallel PCI-104 bus. Other features include up to 2 GB of DDR2 533 RAM, a Gigabit Ethernet interface, four USB 2.0 ports, IDE interface, Compact Flash socket, eight GPIOs, a graphics engine with H.264 decode acceleration, an analog VGA output, and an 18-bit/24-bit LVDS interface for LCD displays. Price for the CoreModule 730 SBC starts at around $400 in OEM quantities and is sampling within 30 days. For more details, call ADLINK TECHNOLOGY AMERICA INC., Irvine, CA (866) 423-5465 or review the CoreModule 730 SBC datasheet at http://www.adlinktech.com/PD/marketing/Datasheet/CoreModule730/CoreModule730_Datasheet_1.pdf.
