HD Medical Group Ltd. has selected the QF4A512 four-channel programmable signal converter from Quickfilter Technologies for use in the ViScope 100 cardiac anomaly indicator. Similar in size and shape to a PDA, the ViScope 100 allows physicians to detect anomalies relating to the mechanical functioning of the heart.

With the National Committees of 29 countries participating in the balloting, the International Electrotechnical Commission has approved the WirelessHART Communication Specification (HART 7.1) as a Publicly Available Specification (IEC/PAS 62591Ed. 1). The organization is accepting corporate donations immediately and will accept donations from attendees at ISA EXPO Oct. 14-16 in Houston, Texas. ISA’s board of directors has also pledged to match funds collected, up to $10,000.

[Designed In] OSRAM LEDs Will Light Tunnel In Germany
Dellux Technologies Inc. will use Golden Dragon LEDs from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors for the luminaires to be installed in the first tunnel in Germany and the longest in Europe to be lit by LEDs. The luminaires and the LED light sources combine for a virtually maintenance-free light source with a minimum life span of 130,000 hrs. (15 yrs.), according to OSRAM. They will be installed in a tunnel on the A71 in Thuringen.
