Dick James

Dick James graduated in 1971 with an MSc degree in microelectronics and semiconductor devices from the University of Southampton in England after receiving a BSc in applied chemistry from the University of Salford. He has spent over 30 years working in the process development, design, manufacturing, packaging, and reverse engineering of semiconductor devices. Before joining Chipworks, he worked for Philips Semiconductor in the U.K. and Northern Telecom in Ottawa. In addition, he spent five years with Revenue Canada working with the Scientific Research and Experimental Development tax credit program and acting as senior scientific advisor to the department. He is a member of the Electrochemical Society, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Society for Information Display, and the Ottawa Sommelier Guild.
