Tom Engibous
A Texas Instruments "lifer" and its present guiding force, Engibous joined the company as an IC design engineer in 1976, the year he earned a master's degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University. In 1993, after fulfilling management responsibilities in the linear products and applications-specific products businesses, Engibous became corporate executive vice president of the semiconductor group, which he led to record profitability and growth until his elevation to president and chief executive officer in 1996. Engibous has also been chairman of the board since 1998.
