Ray Stata
Determined to run his own show after earning a BSEE and an MSEE from MIT, Stata co-founded Solid State Instruments in 1962, "on a shoestring," in Cambridge. Three years later, he sold the company but then co-founded Analog Devices Inc., originally in Cambridge. Stata has served ADI as senior vice president for marketing, sales, and engineering, director, president, and since 1973, chairman and CEO. Under his leadership, Analog Devices (now headquartered in Norwood, Mass.) grew into a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and marketing of high-performance analog, mixed-signal, and digital-signal-processing ICs. |
