The AD859x single-supply op amps offer output current that's more than three times that of the nearest competitive device and shutdown current that's less than half of that device, it's claimed. The ±250 mA output directly drives many audio system outputs, including cell phone handsets, headphones, or small PC speakers. The 1-µA shutdown current extends battery life.The single AD8591, dual AD8592 and quad AD8594 op amps are specified for operation from 2.7V to 5V. Their rail-to-rail capabilities maximize the input- and output-signal range for accurate signal transmission. Even with a 5V/µs slew rate and 3 MHz gain-bandwidth product, the amps are stable with virtually any capacitive load.
