Claiming 60% less noise and 50% lower distortion compared with competitive devices, the OPA1612 is a dual-channel, bipolar-input audio operational amplifier that delivers clear, crisp sound. The amplifier supports multiple channels without significant power consumption in applications such as professional audio and broadcast studio equipment, microphone pre-amplifiers, analog and digital mixing consoles, high-end A/V receivers and audio test and measurement equipment. The device’s bipolar input achieves very low 1.1-nV vHz noise density with an ultra-low distortion of 0.000015% at 1 kHz. Its rail-to-rail output swing to within 600 mV with a 2-? load increases headroom and maximizes dynamic range. With operation over a supply range of ±2.25 V to ±18 V from only 3.6 mA of supply current per channel, the OPA1612 provides excellent dynamic behavior over a wide range of load conditions. The OPA1612 is available now in an SO-8 package for $2.75 each in lots of 1000. The OPA1611 single-channel device is also available now in an SO-8 package at $1.75 each in similar quantities.
