Crystek’s CVCO55CC-2745-2860 voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) operates from 2745 to 2860 MHz with a control voltage range of 0.5 ~ 4.5 V (see the figure). It features a typical phase noise of –106 dBc/Hz at 10-kHz offset and has excellent linearity, according to the company. Output power is typically +4 dBm. The CVCO55CC-2745-2860 comes in the industry-standard 0.5- by 0.5-in. surface-mount device (SMD) package.
Input voltage is 5 V, with a maximum current consumption of 35 mA. Pulling and pushing are minimized to 0.8 MHz and 1.3 MHz/V, respectively. Second harmonic suppression is –15 dBc typical. The CVCO55CC-2745-2860 is well suited for applications such as digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems, and base stations.
