June 1, 2005 -- Plainville, CT -- Carling Technologies, Inc. a leading global manufacturer of Hydraulic Magnetic and Thermal Circuit Breakers, Electrical Switches and Assemblies, and Advanced Systems including Power Distribution Centers, Digital Switching Systems, and Electronic Controls has released their RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) initiative and statement. The restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS) in electrical and electronic equipment is regulated by Directive 2002/95/ECissued January 27, 2003, by the European Parliament and Council. This directive will become effective July 1, 2006 and impacts all suppliers in the electrical and electronic markets and industries.
