The Atom-based ML936-B16 fits into the 105- by 146-mm Embedded Compact Extended (ECX) form factor sponsored by Intel. This is a nice match with 3.5-in. form factors. The single-board computer includes a low-power, 1.6-GHz Z530P Intel Atom processor and a US15WP System Controller Hub (SCH). It supports DVI and LVDS graphics, Gigabit Ethernet, 24-bit audio, ATA/100, and two serial and four USB 2.0 ports. It also has a Trusted Platform Module header. The SODIMM slot handles up to 1 Gbyte of DDR2 memory. The system can run off a 12-V dc supply. Pricing starts at $325. A $55 expansion board adds a mini PCI Express slot, an SD/MMC slot, four serial ports, four USB ports, eight GPIO, parallel port, and a floppy-disk controller.
