Extending battery life, the BlueCore TouchLITE Bluetooth remote control development kit for automotive use enables remote control for navigation systems, in-car multimedia devices, and MP3 players. The kit supports Bluetooth v2.1, allowing two single batteries to last more than 500 days in a typical usage scenario. Bluetooth v2.1 packs features such as sniff-subrating, which reduces power consumption and latency. In sniff mode, or stand-by, the TouchLITE remote control consumes 0.1 mA. As well as BlueCore silicon, the development kit comes complete with a hardware example design, Bluetooth software stack, Bluetooth profile suite, and example application software. TouchLITE is available now. CSR, Richardson, TX. (214)-540-4300.
