Helping designers rapidly evaluate signal-chain performance for test and measurement, industrial, and communications applications, the TSW3070 development kit promises to simplify interfacing between high-speed d/a converters and amplifiers and includes clocking and power management devices to further ease design and reduce cycle time. The kit includes a high-speed d/a converter, two amplifiers, a complete on-board clocking solution, and power-supply circuitry. In addition, it also supplies a user-friendly GUI for d/a converter configuration offering selectable low-, high-, or by-pass filter modes, interpolation, an optional +/-Fs/4 or +/-Fs/8 coarse mixer, and an eight-sample input FIFO. Price for the TSW3070 is $499. TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC., Dallas, TX. (800) 477-8924.
