I/O Module Ensures Efficient, Safe Engine Operation

By Staff

October 08, 2008

Employing robust circuits and rugged IP67 packaging and connectors for use in harsh environments, the AX030300 distributed I/O module with 18 digital inputs and a CAN (SAE J1939 or CANopen) output promises both efficient and safe engine operation. Eight of the module's digital inputs are user selectable as active high/active low, disable input, PWM signal from sensors or diesel engine ECMs, pulse (Hz or RPM), and counter. The other 10 digital inputs are user selectable as active high/active low. Other features include 12 or 24 Vdc input power (nominal) with rugged surge protection, one CAN (SAE J1939) interface, and a CANopen module, the AX030301, is available upon request. For configuration, the module relies on an Electronic Assistant that runs on Windows 2000 or higher. Users can write and save settings to additional controllers during set-up and the Electronic Assistant comes with a royalty-free license.
