I've used ITOX Mini-ITX motherboards in some EIED Online projects (see Car PC, Part 2: The Mini-ITX PC) with much success. These and more were on display at Boston ESC including the G5C900-B (see Long Life For COM Express) COM Express (see COM Express: A New Standard) module and the new CT930-B Embedded Compact Extended (ECX) single board computer (SBC). They are part of ITOX's Long-Life product line. The CT930-B SBC utilizes Intel's 945GM Express mobile chipset so the board can handle an Intel Core Duo processor, Core Solo processor, and Celeron M processors plus up to 2Gbytes of DDR-2 memory. Peripherals include a PCI-Express-based Gigabit Ethernet port, dual SATA ports, an Ultra ATA 100 IDE controller, a CompactFlash socket, a pair of USB 2.0 ports, 1 internal and 1 external serial port, VGA and TV outputs, dual-channel LVDS panel interface and 5.1 channel audio support. The expansion board plugs into the top of the CT930-B and adds a DVI connector, a miniPCI slot and two more USB 2.0 ports. Related Links ITOX
