Quadrature Receiver Keeps Noise At Bay

By Staff

October 08, 2008

Reporting industry-leading performance and low noise figures, the CMX992 quadrature receiver addresses the requirements of wireless data and PMR/LMR radio systems. Enlisting a super heterodyne receiver section along with IF local oscillator circuitry, the device operates at frequencies from 100 MHz to 1 GHz and supports multi-standard digital and analog systems of both constant envelope and linear modulation types. Its I/Q architecture supports a wide range of modulation types with various selectable functions. The Rx path includes an RF mixer with two outputs to support two external IF filter options, then an 2:1, filtered IF input MUX, followed by VGA and wideband RSSI functions to support AGC implementation. Operating at 3.3V/1.8V, the CMX992 is available in a 48-pin VQFN package. CML MICROCIRCUITS INC., Winston-Salem, NC. (800) 638-5577.
