This round of ZigBee kits includes products from AeroComm and Silicon Laboratories. AeroComm’s offering is module-based and highlights its line of wireless modules that include ZigBee. The modules can operate in a standalone mode or be linked to a host processor. Silicon Labs provides a two-chip solution based on their 8-bit 8051 microcontroller line. Their high performance microcontrollers with hefty analog support make them good targets for data acquisition systems.
