Featuring a 7-in. diagonal, 16:9 widescreen format, and 800-by-480 resolution, the 14 models in the PM070WXx/Lx/Tx line of digital active-matrix TFT LCDs from AZ Displays Inc. suit a wide variety of applications. The displays use a cost-effective chip-on-glass internal construction and a "stripe" pixel configuration for the color filter. Viewing area is 152.4 by 91.44 mm, and overall size is 165 by 104 mm or 166 by 105 mm. The LCDs can display full-motion video or simple graphics such as bar graphs, still pictures, or menus.

The various models include digital RGB, TTL, or LVDS interfaces; either CCFL or white LED backlighting; and an optional touchscreen. Some include a timing chip that lets users display 640-by-480 VGA content from a computer on the display’s higher native resolution, minimizing image distortion when scaling between resolutions. The PM070WX1-SRTPRO model features a sunlight-readable touchscreen with up to seven layers of anti-reflection coating, plus a polarizer to prevent the sunlight from entering the surface at a straight angle or from absorbing too much backlight.

Operating temperature range is –20°C to 80°C, and storage range is –30°C to 80°C. Contact the company for price and availability information.
