Twice the lumens/dollar of other LEDs and the highest performance and efficacy are offered by the XT-E SiC-based LEDs, following the recently released SiC XB-D LEDs. The XT-E white LEDs more than double the lumens/W of the XLamp XP-E family, providing up to 148  lumens/W at 85ºC in cool white (6000K), or up to 160 lumens/W at 25ºC, at 35 mA.They deliver 114 lumens/W in warm white (300K). This performance is available in the popular 3.45-by-3.45- mm XP footprint and can be used for almost all lighting applications. Users can easily incorporate the XT-E LED in existing XP LED designs to shorten the LED fixture design cycle and improve customer time-to-market. Since the XT-E white LEDs are a successor to Cree’s XP-E high efficiency LEDs, the adaptation of ENERGY STAR qualification requires only 3000 hours of XT-E LED LM-80 data, instead of the normal 6000 hours.
