Operating across a frequency range up to 790 MHz including DMB, DVB-T, and ISDB-T, the ATR4253 car-radio antenna IC measures 3 mm x 3 mm and achieves what Atmel states is the industry's best noise performance. The device can perform as a pre-amplifier for car radios or navigation applications which require FM-RDS information. Integrated features include voltage regulation, ESD protection, and an ambient temperature range up to 115°C. Samples of the ATR4253 are available now in QFN16 packages. Pricing starts at $0.69 each/100,000. ATMEL CORP., San Jose, CA. (408) 441-0311.
