The FM1100, a family of worldwide legacy audio/video demodulators and multi-standard digital IF processors for television broadcast reception, introduced at CES 2009 by Fresco Microchip, Inc., employs the company’s agileSP that includes four reception-enhancing technologies: WAVe, iSAW, perfectTUNE, and smartTUNE. The devices enable convergence of hybrid terrestrial and cable television broadcast reception globally.

According to Fresco Microhicp, they offer the industry’s best adjacent channel rejection for digital IF signals (ATSC, J.83B QAM, DVB-C/T or DMBT/H) and promise to simplify tuner operation and design. The first member of the product family is the FM1150, encapsulated in a 40-pin, 5- by 5-mm QFN package.
