When installed in standard MIL-C-38999 circular connectors, the new Hi/Mate high-voltage contact lead assemblies withstand dc voltages of up to 13.5 kVdc that are typically found in densely packaged high-voltage power supplies, cathode ray tubes, and TWTs. These #12 gauge, rear release assemblies target MIL-C-38999 Series I, III and IV connectors and are supplied terminated with the company’s Hi Voltage FEP cables to ensure reliability. Insertion and removal procedures require the same tools as any standard #12 38999 series connector contact. Once installed, the Hi/Mates are electrically isolated from the connector shell and fully capable of mixing with signal voltage contacts and fiber optic lines. Described as flexible and reliable, the Hi/Mate contact lead assemblies tolerate wide temperature extremes and rapid altitude changes. They operate at -55°C to 125°C.
