Feed-Through Filters Protect DC-Motor Apps

Now available with standard part numbers and for sampling, the company’s line of motor-line feed-through filters (MLFTs) provide EMI protection for dc-motor and other low-voltage applications. The components exhibit significant insertion loss to pass global conductive and radiated EMC tests such as CISPR 25. A one-component solution to eliminate the need for multiple capacitors, inductive coils, leads, and PCB assemblies requiring numerous connections and large amounts of space, the MLFTs are also customizable to fit into existing packages. Standard MLFT part numbers include filters with single and dual lines, stamped and threaded housings, Faston and round-lead terminals, capacitance values to 0.18 µF, and voltage ratings up to 100V. Prices range from $0.40 to $1.20 each depending on configuration and quantity. For further product information, contact John Blicha at SPECTRUM CONTROL INC., Fairview, PA. (814) 474-0326.
