For taming harsh field power in military applications, the rack-mount ED-FPC series frequency and phase converters promise to deliver reliable, computer-grade power for sensitive equipment. The components weigh less than 80 lbs., consume 4U of rack space, and offer ratings ranging from 3 to 5 kVA. To accommodate fixed, mobile and aircraft installations, the ED-FPC converters meet the shock and vibration requirements of RTCA/DO160, Zone A and the Munson Road Test. They provide a three-phase input that accepts a 45- to 450-Hz input frequency range and deliver a single-phase, 120 Vac 50-, 60-, or 400-Hz sine-wave output with ±3% voltage regulation. Pricing starts at $16,450 for a 3 kVA model. FALCON ELECTRIC INC., Irwindale, CA. (800) 842-6940.
