Lantronix’s DeviceLinx ChipX adds to its already long line of network enabling devices. It is available in a 12mm by 12mm 184 BGA package that incorporates an x86-compatible microcontroller, 10/100 Ethernet MAC/PHY, 256Kbytes of SRAM. The serial interface handles data rates up to 921 Kbits/s. The chip software includes built-in web, email and SNMP services. AES software support is optional. Web storage can utilize an off-chip flash memory. A $49 development kit is available has 512Kbytes of flash. Related Links Lantronix
