Designed to protect high-speed digital interfaces, RF antennas, and RF amplifier circuits against ESD events, the AntennaGuard series multilayer varistors expands to include a sub 1-pF component. An application-specific, bi-directional transient voltage suppressor, the varistor exhibits minimal signal distortion and low insertion loss. According to the company, it features a fast response time to ESD and can withstand successive 1k strikes at 8 kV as per IEC 61000–4-2. Initial offerings of the AntennaGuard sub 1 pF include a 0.8-pF component with 10V and 15V ratings in a 0402 case size. AVX CORP. Myrtle Beach, SC. (843) 448-9411.
