Groomed for SEM Form E factor modules, the SMASH printed circuit connector boasts of high density with unique levels of reliability and the best performance levels on the market in terms of admissible current per signal contact. Its modular design provides up to 450 contacts with bays containing 150 contacts, and very high density: 1.905 mm x 1.905 mm in herringbone or staggered row layouts. Employing a liquid crystal polymer thermoplastic, the rectangular connector operates over a temperature range from - 65°C to 150°C and resists saw tooth impacts up to 100G/6 ms and sinusoidal vibrations to 15G with a tolerance of micro-discontinuities not exceeding 2 ns. Additionally, average current per contact is 3A to 5A with a maximum of 50A. AMPHENOL CORP., Nashua, NH. (603) 879-3000.
