Promising reliable long-distance sensing in unforgiving environments, the heavy-duty SA1U photoelectric sensors are available in four sensing modes: through-beam, background suppression, diffuse, and polarized retro-reflective. Sensing distance ranges up to 50 meters with through-beam models and as close as one meter with diffuse models. Supporting 12 to 240 Vdc and 24 to 240 Vac operation, the sensors employ a spring-up screw terminal to ease wiring with almost any conductor and without the need for special cables. They are configurable for specific needs via integrated 3A relay contacts (NO/NC) and time delay functions. There are four timing delay functions to choose from, one shot, ON delay, OFF delay, and normal mode, plus as a 0.1s to 5s time range. IDEC CORP., Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 262-4332.
