Expanding the Z-PACK TinMan backplane product portfolio is an 85-Ohm connector suite, especially designed for the PCI Express Generation 2 standard and other applications where matching the connector to an 85-Ohm system impedance is necessary. The connectors also allow system designers to maximize the benefits of lower system impedance, i.e., reduced PCB thickness/cost and less signal reflection. Available sizes include three- and five-pair modules in right angle and vertical configurations, with additional sizes to follow. Samples will be available later this month. TYCO ELECTRONICS, Harrisburg, PA. (800) 522-6752.
