16-Bit USB OTG MCUs Lower Power, Boost Flash

Embarking as the lowest-power, large-memory 16-bit USB OTG MCUs to date, the 12-Member PIC24FJ256GB1 family specifies a 2.6 µA standby current and packs up to 256 KB of flash memory and 16 KB of RAM. The devices also include the charge time measurement unit peripheral along with the royalty-free mTouch sensing software development kit, which will allow designers to add a capacitive-touch user interface without any external components. Key features include, USB 2.0 OTG supporting device, embedded host, peripheral pin select for flexible pin mapping, four UARTs, three SPIs, three I2C ports, and 23 independent timers All members of the PIC24F family members gain support via the MPLAB IDE, MPLAB C30 C compiler, MPLAB REAL ICE emulation system, MPLAB ICD 2 in-circuit debugger, and the MPLAB PM3 universal device programmer.
