Reporting large reductions in development, testing, and production times, Simics 2.0 is said to be the first simulation platform to create virtual test laboratories that simulate hundreds of complete systems, unchanged, including operating systems, BIOS, firmware, drivers, and applications. The application runs at speeds in excess of one billion simulated instructions per second, with key tests running several times faster than real time. It can simulate an entire system, including all hardware and processors. Other features include processor support that allows any processor architecture to be simulated on any other architecture plus the ability to simulate heterogeneous systems containing several different processor architectures. Additionally, the platform is scalable to accommodate simulated systems with hundreds of simulated processors. Pricing varies based on use and model requirements. VIRTUTECH, Campbell, CA.
