VersaLogic’s Python EBX single board computer (Fig. 1) draws less than 5W. The fanless motherboard sports a low power LX 800 processor from AMD. The board supports VersaLogic's new SPX expansion interface that allows users to add a wide-range of low-cost I/O options to the platform. It also supports stackable PC/104 Plus expansion.

The Python has a single 200-pin SODIMM socket that can handle up to 1Gbytes of 333 MHz PC2700 DDR RAM. On-board peripherals include four COM ports, four USB 2.0 ports, two Ethernet ports, an IDE port, printer port, PS/2 keyboard and mouse port plus audio support. The board also includes analog and digital IO. Integrated SVGA video support can drive an LVDS flat panel display or a VGA display.

The board is fully RoHS-compliant and designed to meet EU Directive 2002/95/EC. Pricing is starts at $630.
