Kit Speeds Network Gateway Design

Atmel's AVR32 Network Gateway design kit is based on the 32-bit AT32AP7000 microcontroller. It runs embedded Linux and has a pair of 100BaseT Ethernet ports, a high-speed USB 2.0 mini-B device port, an SD memory-card slot, and a serial port. Headers provide access to the AVR32's 16-bit stereo audio digital-to-analog converter, 2048- by 2048-pixel TFT/STN LCD controller, and additional serial interfaces. A range of software and tools includes the TCP/IP-to-SD card file system driver.
