Microsoft’s Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 is now available. It targets application areas like self-service checkout and digital signage. Also, it now supports USB boot and installation along with the latest point of sale (POS) for .NET, Silverlight 2.0, and crypto services. Extended support is available through 2019.
