With an extremely low failure rate of only 104 parts per million, the ACE series high-reliability modular power supplies from PowerGate LLC are well-suited for critical medical applications. The series comprises four platforms that offer 300, 450, 650, or 900 W and can be configured with a selection of 32 different output modules. The supplies are approved under the UL2601-1/TUV EN60601-1 safety standards. They also comply with the European Union's restrictions on Hazardous Substances (RoHS), carry the CE Mark (LVD), and meet Class B emission standards.

Standard features include a universal ac input with active power factor correction and single and dual output modules with outputs from 1.6 to 56 V dc. Advanced status and control signals include remote on/off, current share, voltage monitoring, remote sense, power fail, and auxiliary fan output. The supplies feature an 80% operational efficiency and a –20°C to 70°C operating range. Options include parallel and series connections and ultra-low leakage of less than 150 µA at 230 V ac input.

Evaluation units can be configured in three to five working days, with typical production lead time of four weeks. Standard pricing is as low as $0.50/W for OEM quantities. Complete specifications are available for download from www.powergatellc.com/partner-product/2/4.htm.
