The devices in the Advanced Power Solutions PA1008D series of 8-W desktop power supplies measure just 2.28 by 1.30 by 1.06 in. All models are EISA/Energy Star/CEC Level-IV compliant to accommodate a wide range of applications (see the figure). The series consists of 11 output models ranging from 3.3 to 30 V dc with 8 W of output power. Standard features include a universal ac input range, IEC-320 C8 inlet, and high-efficiency operation greater than 75%.

No-load input power is less than 0.3 W. In addition, the units feature overvoltage, overcurrent, and overtemperature protection circuits. All the supplies have international safety approvals (UL60950-1, CB, C-Tick, BSMI, TUV, and CE Mark) and meet EN55022 Class-B emission standards. Options include ac cables, customizable dc cable lengths, and output connectors.

Evaluation quantities are available immediately with production deliveries of less than eight weeks. Pricing starts at $3.99 in 1000-piece quantities.
