The MYLG dc-dc converter line is well-suited for both intermediate bus and distributed power architectures in the telecom and data-communications sectors. Applications include base stations, routers, fiber-optic products, computer servers, test equipment, and instrumentation. Measuring just 12.4 by 12.4 by 5.6 mm, the 3-A and 6-A converters feature several enhancements to improve design flexibility and power density. For instance, a unique land-grid-array structure enables an easy board-mount inspection and a low profile. The devices’ high efficiencies (up to 93%), wide input voltage ranges, programmable output voltage and tracking, and remote logic features provide designers a broad range of possible power solutions. The high efficiencies—across the industrial temperature range—and the surface-mount package allow designers to combine high performance with a reduction in board space and overall power consumption.
