The kDiagnostics and kManufacturing diagnostic software packages now support Voice-over-IP (VoIP) voice channel testing, greatly reducing the test time per channel. The kDiagnostic tool provides product developers performance measurements on their project’s VoIP channels within minutes. The turnkey package requires no bootloader, OS, or application software. It increases the designer’s visibility into new hardware with direct hardware access, pre-verified comprehensive functional tests, and excellent tracing and test control. Also, kManufacturing streamlines production testing and reduces per-unit touch-time, slashing per-channel testing to just 10 seconds.
The products offer pre-built test commands and suites that provide focus and flow validation of Foreign Exchange Subscriber (FXS) and Foreign Exchange Office (FXO) ports. Tests are also supplied to evaluate voice ports by validating data transmitted between FXS and FXO ports. In addition to port testing, the diagnostics package includes comprehensive test suites for all devices on the board. This includes flash, SDRAM, SRAM, PCI, PCI-X, PCI-Express, USB, Ethernet, I2C, programmed I/O, timer, UART, SATA, and SAS devices. The new capability was developed using the Coyote IXP425 evaluation board and Texas Instruments’ TNETV1060.
