QNX Momentics 6.3 Professional Edition pushes the envelope on development tools. It supports the latest QNX Neutrino 6.3 real-time operating system (RTOS), which has its own collection of new and improved features.
The tool suite utilizes Eclipse 2.1.2, the open-source integrated development environment. It supports host development, and it targets Neutrino. A new system profiler provides additional debugging support, and a system builder tool simplifies the building of a board-support package. A code-coverage tool is now part of the mix, too.
QNX Neutrino 6.3 incorporates 3D, multilayer graphics support. It also handles multiheaded displays with little difficulty. The new Voyager 2 Web browser adds SSL 3.0 support. Network services are enhanced via SCTP (stream control transmission protocol) and IP Filtering with NAT (network address translation) support. The flash file system now maintains integrity even if there's a power failure.
