Based on the company's 1201 series of single-color LEDs, the SMD Bi-color LEDs come in surface-mount versions within the same footprint as the 1201s. As a result, they can be dropped into the same pc-board locations, saving the extra costs of drilling holes and the need for a separate soldering process. Standard versions are available with front-supporting solder tags or an additional fixing pin for more secure mounting to the pc board. The SMD Bi-color LEDs are available in tape and reel form with 480 pieces to a reel. Pricing is less than $1 each in quantity orders. Lead time is within three to four weeks.
