Dec. 1, 2001

The new SFY 0.3 mm pitch right-angle flexible circuit connector is specially designed for automated SMT mounting. It provides ZIF insertion with staged insertion to pre-hold the flexible circuit. Solder tails are placed on both sides of the connector for easy application to the pc board. Typical applications for the SFY connector are mobile handsets, PDAs, DVD drives and digital cameras. Provided in tape-and-reel packaging, the 57-position connector is available now; 27-, 33-, 39-, 45- and 51-position connectors are in development.
