A line of PC/104 single-board computers (SBCs) can boot over an Ethernet link instead of requiring local storage for the operating system. Remote boot support greatly simplifies device management and upgrades because operating systems' images are stored on a common server. The software is specifically designed for Linux. It can be loaded into any solid-state device, such as DiskOnChip or DiskOnModule, or into the CPU boards' on-board EEPROM. The software is free to developers using the company's SBCs.
