A low-power, 1-GHz Motorola 7447 PowerPC processor for conduction-cooled environments equipped with up to 1 Gbyte of SDRAM with error-correction-code support—that's the PPC8A single-board computer (SBC) in a nutshell. The system features a Gigabit Ethernet interface, a pair of Fast Ethernet interfaces, four USB ports, and six serial ports. Also included are two 66-MHz PMC (PCI mezzanine card) slots, an SVGA interface, PS/2 keyboard and mouse, Ultra SCSI, and JTAG support. PPC8A pricing starts at $3955.
