Based on Kontron's ETX 3.0 standard, the ETX-CD computer-on-module harnesses the processing power of a Core 2 Duo processor—a 2 x 1.5-GHz Intel L7400 with 4 MB of L2 cache to be exact. The processor teams with a mobile 945GM Express chipset and a 950GMA media accelerator, backed by up to 2 GB of DDR2 RAM. The module provides PCI 2.3, USB 2.0, Serial ATA, Parallel ATA, and LVDS interfaces, physically located in the same position on each board, as well as an Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) for power management and all standard ETX interfaces. Other features include a power consumption of 17W and RoHS compliance. A range of support packages for operating systems such as Windows XP Embedded and Linux will be available for download in the near future. DIAMOND POINT INTERNATIONAL LTD., Kent, England.
