The OPN-20 series nonisolated dc-dc converters meet power-conversion requirements for distributed power or point-of-load power in board-level designs. The single-inline packaged units provide output power up to 20 W. Applications include data acquisition, communications, and industrial I/O. Also, the converters accept inputs from 3 to 5.5 V dc. Nine models are available, covering the single-output voltage range of 1.5 to 3.3 V dc. All models in the series provide short-circuit protection and an internal input filter. The OPN-20 parts feature remote on/off control capability. They operate over the ambient temperature range of -25°C to 71°C without forced cooling or output-power derating. In OEM quantities, the converters start at $16 each. Delivery is from stock to a lead time of four weeks.
